The Friends are turning 20!
The Friends of Van Cortlandt Park will be turning 20 in 2012 and we need your help to celebrate. From a humble beginning in 1992, FVCP has grown to play an increasing role in maintenance of natural areas and community programming for Van Cortlandt Park. Each year FVCP generates thousands of hours of volunteer support for park maintenance, trains thousands of young people in environmental stewardship, and offers community programs to promote fitness and environmental conservation.
In 2012, we plan on hosting several 20th Anniversary events where community members can learn about what the Friends have accomplished and help us celebrate by participating in our educational and stewardship programs. Your support will help us celebrate our 20 years by doing what we do best- helping Van Cortlandt Park and its users.
