Third Annual Hike-a-Thon
Saturday April 28th, 2012
Get out for a hike and help us raise funds for the restoration of Van Cortlandt Park's spectacular hiking trails. Similar to a Walk-a-Thon, we are asking you to seek out supporters to sponsor your hike for this Rain or Shine event. Registration begins at 10am.
All participants who register and raise at least $30 will receive a t-shirt. The first 100 participants to register and who raise at least $60 for children or $120 for adults will receive a goody bag.
To participate, simply complete and return this registration form by Tuesday April 10th, 2012. All participants will receive an email with additional information including information on setting up their own online fundraising page and pledge forms which will be due by Thursday April 26th, 2012.
For the 2nd Annual Hike-a-Thon, over 80 people joined the Friends of Van Cortlandt Park on Saturday April 30th, 2011. This event raised over $8,000 towards the restoration of the hiking trails of Van Cortlandt Park from this year's event.
